Masakazu Koike was born in Nagano, Japan, in 1981. He received his M.S. degree in engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2006, and his Ph.D. degree in engineering from Shinshu University, Japan, in 2013. From 2013 to March 2015, he was a Ph.D. Researcher at Department of Mechanical and Environmental Informatics, Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology. Since April 2015, he is currently an Assistant Professor at Department of Marine Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology. His research interests include the development of control theory for pneumatic isolation tables. Dr. Koike is a member of Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers, and the Institute of Systems, Control, and Information Engineers.
